The Springboard Center, a local non-profit chemical dependency treatment center founded in 1999, conducted a groundbreaking ceremony on Friday February 22, 2019 for its $5 million Extended Care facilities, adding thirty-two beds to the thirty-five in its current Inpatient facility. The Board of Directors and dedicated staff wish to thank the generous donors who made this essential expansion possible. These two new facilities will offer gender specific aftercare options for individuals completing inpatient chemical dependency treatment and needing additional care or for individuals needing only a moderate level of care. Additionally, it will offer counseling and life skills classes in key areas, such as diet and nutrition, finances, resumes, employment, and work/life balance to help clients prepare for life in long-term recovery.
The Springboard Center “Touched the Lives” of over 500 individuals struggling with addiction last year alone. It has expanded in phases over the years to accommodate the challenges unique to the Permian Basin and provide a variety of local, affordable, high-quality, evidence-based treatment options. The Center currently offers medically supervised detoxification and residential treatment services for both men and women, as well as seven off-campus sober living homes that accommodate forty-five individuals in a supervised recovery environment. Nominal rent is charged. Employment and a high degree of commitment to sobriety is required for inclusion in this subsidized program. Springboard also offers intensive outpatient options in the evenings for adults, as well as adolescents aged 13-17 at its Wall Street adolescent location, to provide additional flexibility and promote aftercare participation. Evidence shows conclusively the longer an individual struggling with addiction is exposed to Springboard’s “Continuum of Care”, the greater the chance of long-term sobriety. These are all subsidized programs made possible by generous donors. As the only treatment provider that accepts private insurance in a 125-mile radius, The Center’s goal is to restore health and societal functionality by offering local and affordable community treatment and aftercare options ranging from thirty days to one year, depending upon need and severity. The Center is acutely aware of the confidentiality of its clientele and is fully compliant with all industry standards and HIPAA requirements.
