DAVID CHANCELLOR

Executive Director

David is a graduate of Phillips Exeter Academy and the University of Texas. He has served as an Army officer in Military Intelligence; pastor in Houston, Kerrville, and Lufkin; and non-profit leader for the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Permian Basin for twelve years where he received the Beacon Award for Excellence in Organizational Leadership. The churches he served in Houston and Kerrville had large 12-step programs, and he also served on the national board of directors for the Palmer Drug Abuse Program.

JOE BELL

Director of Marketing & Development

Prior to The Springboard Center, Joe worked for High Sky Children’s Ranch for 25 years, serving as Director of Development and Director of Independent Living for 24% of Texas. Joe was awarded the national Phillips Distinguished Service award and the DFPS Star as an Outstanding Contractor for the department. Joe was a foster parent to over 100 youth, and on most weekends, you can find him providing respite care for a special needs child, giving his mother the time necessary to replenish her energy. Joe just started his most important role: to his grandkids.

Director of Finance

Harlene Mraz joined us as the Director of Finance for The Springboard Center in November of 2023. She is a graduate of Texas Tech University with a master’s degree in accounting with 8 years of experience. Her hobbies include riding horses, gardening, and reading. She enjoys being surrounded by her family, friends, and her animals.

Paige is a native Midlander and came to the Springboard Center in 2022 with over 6 years of nonprofit accounting experience. After Paige graduated from Texas Tech in December 2015, she moved back home to Midland to marry her husband, and they now raise two boys. She thoroughly enjoys being a part of the nonprofit community in Midland because it brings people together from all different backgrounds to achieve common goals. In her free time, Paige loves watching baseball and spending time with her family!

Spiritual Advisor

As a pastor and person in recovery, Jonathan has provided pastoral care, counseling, and crisis assistance to individuals and families for twenty years. He hopes to help people discover or deepen spirituality as the cornerstone of life and recovery. Jonathan has a heart for cross-cultural and international service, has three wonderful children, and is a struggling golfer.

Business Development Specialist

Nate has been in the service sector of the economy for over 18 years and specializes in communication and personal relations. He is also mathematically inclined and has a knack for attention to detail. This makes him a perfect fit for Business Development Specialist. Nate acquired his Associate of Science in Psychology from Amarillo College in the summer of 2022 and will graduate with his BBA in Finance from UTPB in the Spring of 2025. He is passionate about helping others and keeps recovery at the center of his life. His greatest joy is being a part of the transformation that takes place in people’s lives, and he believes that The Springboard Center is the perfect place to begin that journey.

Medical Practitioner

Haley is a Midland Local born and raised. She has a bachelor’s degree in biology and chemistry from The University of the Permian Basin and a master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Texas Tech University. She has been practicing in urgent care and addiction medicine since 2018 and formerly practiced in general pediatrics. She has a passion for helping others to succeed in their recovery.

Weekend Medical Practitioner

Victoria is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner and began working at The Springboard Center since April 2020. Victoria holds a Masters Degree in Nursing. Her favorite memories at the Springboard Center include seeing clients successfully complete the program and transform their lives. Victoria’s hobbies include watching her children play softball and gardening.

Detox Unit and Compliance Manager

Dallas has worked at The Springboard Center since December 2015. He has been a licensed vocational nurse since 2005 and has a natural compassion for helping others. He received an interdisciplinary bachelor’s degree in arts and science from Dallas Baptist University with concentrations in both nursing and health care management. His favorite part of working here at the center, is seeing the clients return, not just for meetings or alumni events, but some return to take positions of employment within the center so that they can help others as the center helped them.

D.J. RAMBO, LCDC

Clinical Director

D.J. currently holds a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Psychology and is currently working toward her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Her experience consists of detox, intensive outpatient treatment, and the residential level of care. Guiding others through the recovery process is D.J.’s passion, and she believes all people have the ability to achieve success, live to their fullest potential, and fulfill all of their dreams. D.J.’s favorite motto is “Living the Dream.”

Charity was born and raised in Midland. She is the mother of two, but more importantly, she is “Grams’s” two grandchildren. She has worked for many years advocating for victims of domestic violence, and it was there that her passion for helping people with addiction was born. She has been in the field of substance abuse for five years. Charity wants people to understand that behaviors can be changed if there is a willingness and honesty and that she will be there to love and support them along the way.

Jessie was born and raised in Odessa, TX. She proudly says she is married to an amazing man of God and is the mother of two wonderful boys. Since 2019, she has worked in the recovery field and quickly found her passion in leading women in recovery, watching their lives transform from broken and hopeless to restored and dignified. She graduated from Odessa College with an Associate Degree in Substance Abuse Counseling in 2022 and began her career by working in corrections, bringing hope and guidance to men transitioning back into society from IPTC and SAF-P programs. Jessie says she believes in miracles because she is one and witnesses them happen every day in the lives of recovering alcoholics and addicts. Jessie believes, “As long as there’s breath in their lungs, there’s hope.”

Kory Grant, originally from Jacksonville, NC, served his country for 10 years as a proud member of the military, where he experienced the rigors of combat. After his military service, Kory faced his own battles with substance abuse. His journey through recovery has been both challenging and transformative, ultimately leading him to a new purpose in life as a substance abuse counselor. Kory is passionate about using his personal experiences to guide others through their own struggles, offering hope and support to those in need. Kory is also a dedicated family man. He has four children and one grandchild, all of whom reside in North Carolina. His experiences as a father and grandfather, combined with his military background and personal recovery, give him a unique perspective on life and make him a compassionate and effective counselor. He is committed to helping individuals and families rebuild their lives, just as he has rebuilt his own.

SIMON CROSS

Simon Cross is a native Texan with a passion for helping those that struggle with Substance Use Disorders. Simon is a veteran of the United States Army and a person in long term addiction recovery. Currently, he is pursuing a master’s degree in clinical social work and is a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor at The Springboard Center. Among many other recovery-related endeavors, Simon is an advocate for those in recovery and has made it his mission to educate and inform the public about the dangers of addiction and to shine the light on the availability of treatment for Substance Use Disorders.

BAILEY HOLMES

IOP Counselor

Bailey graduated in 2020 from Odessa College with her Associate Degree in Substance Abuse Counseling and began her counseling career the same year in corrections, servicing men and women recently released from prison. Bailey graduated in 2022 from the University of Texas Permian Basin with her bachelor’s in psychology and has been a part of the Springboard Center family since June of 2023! Bailey has been happily married since 2021 and began raising her first child in 2022. Bailey is passionate about helping those struggling with addiction gain the tools needed for their growth and empowerment to a lifetime of sobriety.

Constance Roberts, LCDC

IOP Counselor

Constance is a native Midlander mother of three and grandmother of two grandchildren. She has been in the field of alcohol and drug abuse for close to 35 years. Constance has been a licensed chemical dependency counselor since 1992 and has worked, trained, and supervised interns seeking licensure and taught continuing education on cultural diversity and stress management. She has two years of experience in equine therapy and five years of experience teaching tobacco cessation to minors. I am an entrepreneur with a bachelor’s degree in business management. She recently acquired certification as a Neuroencoding Specialist and a Licensed Brain Health Trainer. She is active in her church, the historic Mt Rose Full Gospel Baptist Church, and is very active in our community; she loves gardening, singing, fishing, creating art, and traveling.

Residential Services Manager

Roberta was raised in West Texas and has lived in Midland for almost 25 years. She was introduced to the Springboard Center in 2014 when she began her recovery journey. Her foundation was built, and sobriety has followed since. In 2015 she returned to Springboard and has worked in various roles in all levels of care over the years. “I find great joy and purpose providing the help that I once sought with desperation. I’m compelled to give what I received, a second chance at life.”

Marcus is a graduate of Hardin-Simmons University. He began his journey with Springboard in 2015 as a client. In 2016 he was asked to come work as the Fitness Instructor before also becoming a Recovery Advocate and then Resident Advocate Manager. He has been married for 3 years and has 4 kids. For the past 4 years, he has been coaching his oldest son’s soccer team. “The best part of working here at Springboard is being able to see the growth of clients in 30 days from Detox to Residential.” Without Springboard and the services, they provide and the AA program; none of this would be possible.

Sober Living Manager

Nick is a dedicated Sober Living Coordinator at The Springboard Center, drawing from his own experiences as a former resident of the program. He understands the struggles faced by clients in early recovery and finds immense joy in witnessing the hope and transformation they experience. With a passion for helping others, Nick is committed to supporting individuals on their journey to recovery. Outside of work, he is a devoted dog lover, sharing his life with a 3-year-old female pit bull named Lulu, whom he adores.

STAYTON GORDON

Facilities & Support Services Manager

Stayton came to The Springboard Center in October of 2022 with over 5 years of experience in a combination of major utilities, HVAC, and general building maintenance. His experience in a wide range of areas related to Facilities Management has made him a great fit for our Facilities and Support services Manager. He believes The Springboard Center provides critical help to those in need in our community and loves getting to be a part of that and support the Center’s efforts every day. Stayton is originally from Houston but moved to Midland in 2020 to work for Oncor before he came to Springboard. Stayton is a newlywed as of February 2023. He and his wife London recently bought their first home in Odessa and love cooking and trying new foods. Also, Stayton and London are members of Stonegate Fellowship and are involved in the Young Marrieds Ministry.

Kitchen Manager

Scott discovered his passion for cooking at the age of 14 and has been dedicated to the culinary arts ever since. Born in Iowa and later moving to Florida and then Texas, he has cultivated a diverse culinary perspective. With over 30 years of professional cooking experience, Scott specializes in nutrition-focused cuisine and is particularly passionate about sushi.

One of his favorite dining experiences is at Fleur-de-lis in Las Vegas, where he draws inspiration from the artistry of food. Scott finds immense fulfillment in providing nutritional cooking for our clients, relishing the moments when he witnesses their transformation and the return of their vibrant selves.
